Robin Gibb wakes from coma

After the sad news last week that Robin had fallen into a coma, great news today that he has woken up and has been trying to communicate with his family.

All our thoughts are still with him and his closest friends and family. Come on Robin, we’re with you!

What a nightmare journey this was! We always struggle a little doing gigs a distance away on a Friday evening, but this one was one of the worst! Travel arrangements changed at the last minute when Randy, our drummer, didn’t have transport. We managed to sort his drum kit out to get there with Robin and the little man himself traveled with Mo’ and Keith – a bit of a squash but we did it! This meant we left Stourbridge a little later than we would have liked. We weren’t expecting, however, for a big queue on the M40 after an accident. We eventually arrived at the Old Thorns Country Club with just enough time to set up, have a bite to eat (very important!) and get changed ready to go.

Was still a great night – great crowd who enjoyed every minute!

Super Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! Night Fever Show in Cannock

Only our second proper show with the guys and gals from Bootleg Abba but what a show it was! A near sell-out crowd at the Prince of Wales Theatre in Cannock was treated to a fabulous, high-energy show. The evening started off with Bee Gees Fever delivering a high-quality 1hour 15 minute set and was followed after the break by the fantastic Bootleg Abba. The Bee Gees boys, for this night only, had a return of their previous drummer, Lance – and he fitted in like he’d never been away!

There was some sad news on the night when it was confirmed, earlier in the day, the Robin Gibb had fallen into a coma. All our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
